About KLRS
The Arctic Institute of North America operates the Kluane Lake Research Station (KLRS), located 220 km northwest of Whitehorse, Yukon, on the south shore of Lhù’ààn Mân (Kluane Lake). KLRS is privileged to be situated within the Traditional Territory of the Kluane First Nation (KFN) and the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations (CAFN). Research in the region often occurs within the Traditional Territories of KFN, CAFN, and the White River First Nation (WRFN). The station was established in 1961 and has provided support to researchers from across Canada and around the world since that time.
Please visit the KLRS website to make a reservation, enquire about field school or artist in residence opportunities, or learn about the research being conducted at the station.
