Arctic in the Classroom - Elementary Schools

The Arctic Institute is committed to providing innovative educational and training opportunities for K-12, college and university students, adult learners and the general public. We provide classroom programming in Calgary and surrounding area, opportunities for student research, opportunities for training at the Kluane Lake Research Station and a variety of public programming through partnerships with Telus Spark, Beakerhead, and the International Mountain Network. To complement our regular monthly Arctic Speaker Series, we also make those lectures available on You Tube. AINA is proud to administer the Northern Scientific Training Programme for the University of Calgary, and to offer a number of scholarships to students conducting research in the north.
