The Komatik Series was begun by the Arctic Institute in 1989 as a publication outlet for scholarly monographs of northern interest. Offerings in the series are geared to a post-high school audience, include scholarly citation and bibliography, and are peer-reviewed prior to acceptance for publication. (ISSN 0840-4488)
