New group study program available from U Calgary- Art Photography in Alaska and the Yukon

We would like to let you know about an amazing group study program available through the University of Calgary in August 2018.

Explore the stunning north: Alaska and Yukon Territory. You will become familiar with digital photography and will develop the technical skills necessary to produce quality photographic images. Cultural content is created by capturing images of the world, understanding cultural meaning and values, and this group study program provides you the opportunity to explore your artistic potential.

Effects on Retreat of Kaskawulsh Glacier on downstream rivers

Dan Shugar at the University of Washington, Tacoma and colleagues have authored a paper in Nature Geoscienceentitled "River piracy and drainage basin reorganization led by climate-driven glacier retreat" which studies the effect of the retreat of the Kaskawulsh Glacier on downstream rivers.
