Dan Shugar at the University of Washington, Tacoma and colleagues have authored a paper in Nature Geoscience, entitled "River piracy and drainage basin reorganization led by climate-driven glacier retreat" which studies the effect of the retreat of the Kaskawulsh Glacier on downstream rivers.

UToday announces documents from the AINA collection relating to Arctic exploration in the 1800s and early 1900s have recently been digitized and are available online at: Arctic and Northern Studies Collection
Items are also on display in the foyer of Archives and Special Collections on the fifth floor of the Taylor Family Digital Library until the end of February.
Dr. Ravi Sankar, Eyes - High Post-doctoral Fellow at the Arctic Institute of North America was interviewed by NASA about his coastal research that uses Landsat images. He is presenting this research at the America Geophysical Union Fall Meeting currently taking place in San Francisco.
